Projects like Spun and the BCH Desks require many, many small experiments before and during fabrication. A Monocast is a small color experiment created while working on one of these projects. Each Monocast has been hand-selected, rough edges hand-sanded, and packaged by the artist Gianna Stewart.

This small sculpture was made using a standard oval mold. It is a unique combination of colors hand-mixed by the artist. The Monocast consists of urethane resin, dyes, and air bubbles The resin and dyes used are designed to withstand sun exposure, so its light-catching qualities can be enjoyed on sunny shelf or windowsill.

Imperfections are part of the artwork. It has been photographed to display irregularities and surface variations, but if you have any questions on a particular work of interest, please feel free to reach out. Give this small world a place of honor in your home.
