Projects like Spun and the BCH Desks require many, many small experiments before and during fabrication. A Monocast is a small color experiment created while working on one of these projects. Each Monocast has been hand-selected, rough edges hand-sanded, and packaged by the artist Gianna Stewart.

This small sculpture was made using a standard oval mold. It is a unique combination of colors hand-mixed by the artist. The Monocast consists of urethane resin, dyes, air bubbles, and aluminum. The resin and dyes used are designed to withstand sun exposure, so its light-catching qualities can be enjoyed on sunny shelf or windowsill.
